La connaissance de soi comme processus de réflexion profonde sur son propre être, ses interactions avec l’environnement et sa participation à la complexité des systèmes vivants. Ce processus n’est pas seulement introspectif, mais dépasse l’individu pour englober les relations entre les êtres humains et la nature. Il s’agit d’un mouvement visant à reconnaître l’humanité elle-même et la manière dont elle est inextricablement liée au tissu plus large de la vie sur Terre. S’engager dans des pratiques éducatives visant à la connaissance de soi permet d’approfondir la compréhension des défis socio-environnementaux, de promouvoir une pédagogie qui valorise les complexités de la vie, de favoriser une transformation éducative et sociale qui contribue à réenchanter le monde en reconnaissant l’interdépendance de tous les êtres.

Samuel Lopes Pinheiro

PhD in Environmental Education from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) with a period in Paris, France (2019-2020) funded by the PDSE/CAPES grant. During this time, he served as a visiting researcher at the Connaisance, Organization et Systèmes Techiniques (COSTECH/UTC) laboratory and attended INSPÉ Paris Sorbonne. He holds a Master's degree in Environmental Education from FURG (2017), a Degree in Portuguese/English Letters (2013), and a Bachelor's degree in Management (2008). His primary focus lies within the field of Education, with extensive experience in teaching at the Elementary School level. Additionally, he has a background as a Yoga Teacher, having received training from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in Brazil (2011) and India (2013), and has coordinated Yoga projects in various school settings and within the university context. Furthermore, he has practical experience in Agroecology, Biodynamics, and ecological practices gained through his work at Sítio Talismã (2009-2011), where he supported local farmers in transitioning to agroecological practices. His proficiency in Translation is demonstrated through his involvement with the Núcleo de Tradução (NUTRA - FURG). As a member of the Centre International de Recherches et études transdisciplinaires (CIRET - Paris), he contributes to interdisciplinary research initiatives. Moreover, he has served as a teacher of Portuguese as a Host Language for refugee foreign students from Haiti and Senegal and is actively engaged in research related to the Foundations of Environmental Education, particularly focusing on socio-environmental challenges within transdisciplinary pedagogies
